Spring 2020 TEAM
Adam Guttadauro is a senior at UNCW majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Adam is originally from Boston, Massachusetts but has lived in Wilmington full time for three years now. After graduation, Adam hopes to either open his own eCommerce based marketing firm or obtain a job in Entertainment Marketing. Adam’s first opportunity in the business world came with Halo Creative, a company started by his friend, which allowed him to work at an executive level with major media outlets and corporate clients such as CNN and Forbes. Since then, he has run many eCommerce businesses and helped consult for many as well. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and seeing what the world has to offer.
Brittany's hometown is Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended community college for two years before transferring to UNCW to pursue a degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communication and Media Production. Brittany specializes in producing video marketing content and is currently employed by UNCW as an Associate Student Producer with the Office of University Relations. She is passionate about applying strategy to a creative vision. Whether she's working on a video, website, or social post, she values taking the time to be detail-oriented in order to create a product that is effective and imaginative. After graduation in May 2020, she plans to move back to Charlotte and become a video marketing producer for an agency or an organization.
Chloe Fraasa was raised in Kinnelon, New Jersey. She will be receiving a B.A. in Communication Studies with a focus in Media Production in May 2020. Chloe feels the most fulfilled when pushed outside her comfort zone, whether it be traveling or exploring new passions. Upon graduation, she plans to move to New York City to be closer to family and pursue a career in the film or television production industry.
Edie Cameron was born and raised in Weddington, North Carolina. She is a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington majoring in Communication Studies. Edie is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Eta Alpha Chapter. As she wraps up her leadership position in Alpha Delta Pi, she will continue a marketing and public relations internship for Kenan Chapel at Landfall located in Wilmington, NC. Edie loves spending time with her friends and family. She has a passion for following fashion trends and event planning. Edie also enjoys trying new restaurants, and reading a good book!
Hannah Lewis was raised in Cary, North Carolina. She is a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and will be receiving her B.A. in Communication Studies with a minor in Digital Arts in May. She is currently a Marketing Assistant at the UNCW Student Recreation Center and a Marketing Intern at Kickstart Collective. She is also the Publicity Chair of Communication Studies Society. Upon graduating, she plans on pursuing her M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication and working at a marketing agency. She brings experience in graphic design, branding, and social media strategy. Hannah loves sports, especially football and hockey! She hopes to eventually work on the marketing team for the Carolina Hurricanes or Carolina Panthers. When she is not busy, she enjoys working out and trying new coffee shops.
Luccas Souza Cruz was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil until the age of 18 when he decided to go to the United States to pursue his college education. He is currently a senior and will be graduating in May 2020 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and a B.S. in Business - Marketing Strategy. He has been working for the UNCW Student Recreation Center for three years, where he currently operates as the Program Assistant for the Marketing Department, as well as UNCW Athletics, where he assists the team in the marketing and fan engagement areas. After graduation, he plans to stay in the country under an OPT internship, working at a marketing agency where he would help with his graphic design, branding, and advertisement abilities. He has a passion for art, especially music, drawing, and film as well as getting to know new people and listening to their stories.
Maddie Peterson was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a senior graduating with a B.A. in Communication Studies and double minors in Biology and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Maddie is currently serving as the president of TealTV and Hawkstream Radio – student-led production networks at UNCW. After graduation, Maddie hopes to work as a science communicator helping to translate scientific topics to a wider audience. In her free time, Maddie enjoys swing dancing and playing board games with friends.
Zoe Coleman was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. Zoe is a Senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington graduating with a B.A. in Communication Studies focused on Integrated Marketing Communication. Zoe is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority Theta Xi chapter. After graduation Zoe will pursue a career in sales with the company Red Ventures in Charlotte, North Carolina. When Zoe is not working in the classroom she enjoys reading the latest novels available and exploring Wilmington.
Austin Chandler was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, and is currently in his senior year at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Austin is a communication studies major and journalism minor, and for the past two years, he has been a contributing writer for UNC Wilmington’s student run campus news magazine, The Seahawk. Austin is also a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at UNCW where he served as the Sargent at Arms for one semester. In addition to journalistic writing, Austin also has experience in writing news/press releases, social media management, blog writing, ad graphic design, website design, media production and marketing. Much of these skills were developed in classes at UNCW as well as during his summer internship with the non-profit organization, The Exodus Institute. Some of the things that Austin values most are his family, his home and helping others. After his time at UNCW, Austin intends to find a job in the world of sports journalism/media where he can continue to write and work with talented, hardworking people.
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Brooke Sanderson is a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She will receive her B.A. in Communication Studies with a minor in Leadership Studies in May. She is a member of the leadership team for a campus organization called Delight Ministries and currently works as a ministry intern at Live Oak Church. Upon graduating, she plans on applying her skills in a career related to marketing and public relations for a non-profit organization. Brooke loves the outdoors, spending time with friends, and has a welsh corgi named Elsie.
Dana Rossi was raised in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania and is currently a junior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is pursuing a double B.A. in Communication Studies and Film Studies with a minor in Digital Arts. Within the Communication Studies department, Dana has a focus in media production and videography. After graduating, she hopes to combine her videography and graphic design skills at a media production or advertising studio, as well as pursue freelance work. When not doing schoolwork, Dana enjoys traveling, shooting film photography, and spending time at the beach.
Emma Pio, raised in Charlotte North Carolina, is a current senior at UNCW working towards a BA in Communication Studies. Focusing her interests in the IMC realm, she has greatly enjoyed campaign and event design projects through applied learning opportunities in the department. Emma is a member of the Communication Studies Society and the current Treasurer of Lambda Pi Eta: the Communication Department’s Honor Society. This past Spring semester she traveled abroad to the University of Stirling in Scotland to study and find her love for travel. She is now a current UNCW Study Abroad Ambassador, volunteering her time and tips to students considering their own abroad experiences (and enviously wishing she was accompanying them!) In her free time she enjoys being a novice Irish Dancer in UNCW’s Sláinte Irish Dance Club, and has discovered a recent love for the world of beekeeping. Following graduation she intends to move back to Charlotte and begin the start of her IMC career.
Jordan Bell was raised in Clayton, North Carolina. He is a senior at UNCW and will be receiving a B.A. in Communication Studies. He is active on campus as a Resident Assistant in Graham-Hewlett Hall, Head Editor for the Humans of the Dub blog for the campus newspaper The Seahawk, and as the Communication Coordinator for the Dean’s Student Leadership Council for the College of Arts and Sciences. Jordan is also working with the UNCW Housing and Residence Life Office as a marketing assistant. Jordan’s main passion lies in video production, as he’s completed several projects with the UNCW Athletics video team, the Light Cannon Films wedding videography company, and with the City of Wilmington City Manager’s office. During his free time, Jordan enjoys watching the sunset, finding new music to listen to, and playing/watching sports. After his time as UNCW, Jordan intends to work for a media production company.
Lynsey Garfinkel is from Boca Raton, Florida. She will be graduating in May 2020 with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in Spanish. Much of her free time is spent traveling, taking and editing photos, and making short films that are ocean and surf based. She has a strong work ethic, aims to go beyond what is expected, and does everything with a positive attitude and a smile. After graduation, she plans to make a career out of her passions of videography and photography by creating content for different brands and organizations that aim to inspire and help others.
Manuela Herrera is originally from Venezuela but was raised in Greensboro, NC. She is a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and will be receiving her B.A. in Communication Studies. She currently has a marketing internship at TUSC Boutique LLC. Manuela is a member of Alpha Phi Eta Xi where she held the VP of Marketing position for two semesters. She is also a member of Lambda Pi Eta (LPH), the Communication Studies department's national honor society. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in marketing. During her free time, Manuela enjoys watching the sunset, playing the piano and going to dinner with her friends.
