FALL 2023 TEAM


Nilou Mollaahmad is a senior from Charlotte, NC majoring in communication studies and minoring in entrepreneurship and innovation. She is currently employed as a part time content creator for a charter boat company in Bald Head Island. She also frequently interns as a social media strategist for Yacht Source LLC. Nilou enjoys creating content for social media, as well as public relations marketing. She has had several advances in her professional skillset by creating client deliverables for Pier601. This semester, she’s taking on the role as a VP and is looking forward to furthering her comfortability with client work. Outside of this, you can frequently find Nilou lounging at Wrightsville Beach or taking her dog, Siyah, for a run around Long Leaf Park! 

Zach Hamlet is a Senior in the Cameron School graduating in the fall of 2023 he is concentrating in Marketing Strategy. He holds strong experience in Social media management, marketing, and content creation. This past summer he got an opportunity to enhance his photography skills serving as the Videographer for the first annual HPOC Movement summer camp. Currently, he assists on the UNCW Women’s Basketball Content Creation team and will be increasing his responsibility with Pier601 serving in the role of VP. He spends his free time exercising and playing guitar.

Anne Jenkins is a senior at UNCW majoring in communication studies and minoring in international studies. Within the Communications Studies Department, Anne is concentrating in integrated marketing communication. She is an active member of the Communication Studies Society and Lambda Pi Eta. Anne has experience in marketing working for a local property management company where she conducts market reports and does social media management. Anne was born in Wilmington, NC and hopes she can transition into the integrated marketing industry upon graduation in the Spring of 2024. Anne is the mother of a six-year-old daughter, and loves being active in her child’s education and extracurricular activities. In her spare time, she enjoys taking her daughter to the beach and to museums.

Kate Popielarcheck is a senior from Raleigh, NC. Kate is majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Integrated marketing communication and minoring in Journalism. With experience in copywriting, event planning and adobe services she is excited to be working with Pier601! In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Margaux Smith is a Senior from Raleigh, NC. Margaux is majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communication. She plans to graduate with her bachelor’s degree in the spring of 2024. Margaux has professional experience in customer service, content development, and project management. Margaux’s skills include professional writing, graphic design, and is experienced in Adobe services. In her free time, she likes to go to the beach and spend time with her friends. Determined to gain more hands-on marketing and design experience, Margaux is excited to work with the team in Pier601!

Kathryn Krull is a senior at The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) majoring in communication studies. Kathryn has experience taking courses related to research methods, communication theory, organizational communication, interpersonal communication, interracial communication, and strategic writing in integrated marketing communication. At UNCW, Kathryn is an active member of Lambda Pi Eta and the Greek life community. Kathryn served on the Phi Mu executive board as the Public Relations Chair. The executive board was responsible for brainstorming and strategizing effective ways to engage chapter members and boost chapter morale on and off campus. Kathryn was born in Manhattan, New York but spent most of her childhood in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Kathryn enjoys trying new things, traveling, working with others, event planning, spending time outside, playing golf, and going to dinner with friends.

Dedra Williams is from Willard, North Carolina, which is about 30 minutes outside of Wilmington. She is double majoring in Communication Studies and Studio Art with a minor in Business. She is a third year senior and expects to graduate in May of 2025. Her experience in IMC comes from being on the marketing and design teams of a couple of organizations on campus and courses she has taken during her time here at UNCW. After graduating and pursuing her MA in Business Administration or Marketing, she plans to enter the marketing and design industries. Her hobbies include painting, sculpting, designing, reading, night walks, and listening to music.

David Lund is a senior here at UNCW majoring in communications and minoring in journalism with an expected graduation date of May 2024. He grew up in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey and moved to Raleigh for high school and now resides here in Wilmington. He has his experiences in media production mainly but he also likes to dabble in some marketing and design as well. He’s gained these experiences mainly from his course choice at UNCW. Some of his hobbies include playing basketball, reading, listening to music, and playing video games.

Quinn Williams is a senior transfer student at UNCW with a major in Communication Studies. She hopes to use her major to continue in a career in marketing, branding, or consulting. Over the 2023 summer, she gained experience as an intern at a local digital marketing agency doing internal marketing. Her skills include written copy, content creation, Adobe Lightroom, and she has an internal marketing certification. Quinn transferred from UH Manoa in Hawaii where her family still lives. She enjoys being outside, the beach, reading, music, and being with friends.

Noah Warren is a full-time student at the University of North Carolina Wilmington from Benson, North Carolina, working towards the completion of his bachelor’s degree in Communication studies with an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communication. Over the last year he has been a team member at Chick-fil-A Market street, where he has aimed to perfect his customer service skills, and hope to use these skills to keep open and honest communication with his clients and teammates. While Noah plans to graduate at the end of the fall 2023 semester, his time at the university will not be over quite yet, as upon his graduation, he plans to apply to the M.A. IMC program.

Alexis Sirimongkhon is an Integrated Marketing Communication major in her senior year at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is a part of Lambda Pi Eta's honors society and the Com Studies Society. Alexis has completed an internship at a local marketing company in her hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. During this time, she gained experience in graphic design, social media management, content creation, and web development. There are hopes to continue Integrated Marketing or Marketing into a graduate program after graduation and enter the industry in the Raleigh area. She enjoys drawing, running, spending time with friends, going to the beach, and listening to music in her free time.

Olivia Fricks is a senior in the UNCW Honors College and majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in IMC. She is from Chapel Hill, North Carolina and on track to graduate with her bachelor’s in spring of 2024. Olivia has professional experience in social media marketing and management as well as change management consulting. Olivia’s skills include content creation, graphic design, project management, digital transformation, and digital marketing. When Olivia is not in class or working, she is spending her time being active outdoors or socializing with friends.

Tyler Mazzie is a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is pursuing a communication major and a business minor. Tyler has focused her communication degree in integrated marketing communication and hopes to find a career in that area outside of college. Over the summer Tyler was a marketing intern at a financial company in Charlotte, NC where she learned the ins and outs of marketing in a professional setting and hopes to apply what she’s learned towards her degree. Tyler is from Mooresville, NC and enjoys going out on Lake Norman, spending time with friends and family, and cooking!
