Adobe Creative Jam

The Adobe Creative Jam is an event that provides students with a chance to expand their skillset through teaming up, analyzing a problem, and forming creative solutions. Adobe chose UNCW as a location for the Creative Jam and challenged students to utilize Adobe Rush in ways that could help aid the New Hanover County Community. On February 27th of 2019, students assembled into creative teams to create short videos that highlighted the impact Hurricane Florence had on the Wilmington community. What came from this day of creativity was an expansion of skillsets and campus-wide comradery. 

Pier 601 Creative was heavily involved with the event through both event management and social media management. Having planned days’ worth of events, the team oversaw the Adobe Rush training, breakout sessions, keynote speaker presentations, and award ceremony.

IMC Conference Spring 2019

We sought out event sponsors and encouraged attendees to register by implementing a social media content calendar, updating information on the IMC Conference website, and integrating the Whova mobile app. Research on other university conferences informed decisions relating to event logistics.

Prone2Paddle

Pier601 worked alongside P2P to successfully launch several social media accounts in the Spring of 2015.

Our team worked to put together a social media calendar for P2P, and posts were strategically planned to be as effective as possible.

P2P's Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts were then maintained and updated regularly using management programs such as Hootsuite and Latergramme.

Cape Fear Health Network

Cape Fear Health Network a nonprofit in Wilmington whose goal is to "bridge the gap" for the uninsured and provide access to healthcare for low income and uninsured individuals. Our team collaborated with CFHN to help increase their social media presence and create an updated brochure. We developed a new banner for their social pages to match their new website update, additionally developing a content calendar and creating a LinkedIn page.
